The Dotted Line

I used to hate polka dots.

For years they symbolized immaturity and tackiness. But then I saw this Reformation shirt and I immediately felt drawn to the cute-sy print I used to hate. It took me just a few minutes to decide that the shirt was actually very "me" and bought it.

I think personal style is about taking risks and trying things we normally wouldn't before. Sometimes we get so stuck on a certain look and never allow ourselves to try something different. Style is about figuring out what you love and sometimes the things we love expand or change. So many women have said to me, "I love your outfit, but I could never pull that off." I think that if more women emboldened themselves to wear what they truly love, they could pull off anything. It's all about the confidence you exude. And really, at the end of the day, it's not caring about what other people think. Allow yourself to wear what you love, even if you've changed your mind. Even if you used to hate polkadots...but now you love them.
