Updating classic silhouettes

Updating classic silhouettes

My personal style is definitely veering away from 1950s retro, but I just can't resist updating the classics.

Since my time as Style Editor at Verily, I've started exploring more unconventional ways of dressing. My readership at the magazine preferred an Audrey Hepburn-meets-Grace Kelly aesthetic and while that's totally fine, I like classics with a twist.

I pretty much shop exclusively secondhand, so the items I pick up are usually classic pieces. I always try to give my outfit a creative update for a more modern appeal and for a look that is distinctly my own. So whether I'm wearing bathing suit top or some random belt across my midriff a la Carrie Bradshaw, I like ensembles that are reminiscent of the past, perfect for the present, and timeless enough for the future.
